The flight is on time but the taxi isn’t. Traffic in Munich is dreadful nd the half hour trip takes us an hour and a half. Upon arrival at the Munich Park Hilton, we unpack and head for dinner, walking five minutes to Taverna del Sud (Tavern of the South). I have a wonderful tagliatelle Emiliana while B4 opts for sea bass, whole, then fileted. Both were excellent choices. But I may remember most what was delivered when our waiter asked if we wanted bread. He brought as what was, in fact, a pizza crust, baked to crisp, salty with a bit of oil, too hot to touch at first. More cracker than bread it is an idea that ought to be copied by other Italian restaurants. It was wonderful.
We walked back to the Hilton after dinner and it is there that I write this while B4 attacks email until she drops. There is no real vacation for my CEO but I suspect she would have it no other way.
