Chapter 13, August 19-20, 2021
Traveling across our planet can be time consuming.
The final hours went like this:
Up at 6:00
11 Hours to kill; check out of hotel
5 Hours to kill: car to Colombo Airport
5 Hours to kill: wait for flight to Dubai
4 Hours in air flying Colombo to Dubai
4 Hours at Dubai Airport Connecting Time
14 Hours in air flying Dubai to Chicago
1 Hour at O’Hare International Airport for the fastest ever time to clear customs and Immigration, take a bus from the International Terminal to American Airlines Terminal 3, clear security, get to gate 7 to jump an earlier flight which just happened to have an available seat
1.5 Hours in air flying to Kansas City
Total time for final “day” turns out to be: 45.5 Hours. 26 of those hours were spent waiting somewhere before or between flights while 19.5 were spent flying.
